Our U13 girls travelled to Dunboyne on Monday 16th June for the Camogie Shield Final and, as usual, they brought their A game and more!
It was an extremely warm evening and there was a lot sweaty heads under those helmets at half time. With a splash of water over their heads and a few jellies in their bellies, our girls went back out with victory on their minds… and that’s what they got!
No matter the occasions, Dunboyne were always difficult opponents and they fought until the very end. Every point/goal and tackle was loudly cheered by coaches and parents, all of whom were beaming with joy as the girls battled on.

Team captain Lily O’Grady was presented the shield by our very own Maura Roche and delivered a lovely speech, whilst Robyn Farrell, who excelled in 2025, was voted Player Of The Match.
As is tradition, there was a convoy through the village followed by pizza and drink back at the club thanks to a very proud Dad - Mick Flynn.
The girls skill and dedication is paying off at county level too as three of our shield winners have been called up to Meath Camogie U13 side… and we can see many more making that leap in 2026. Maith sibh a chailíní!
