All members,

Due to the rate our club is growing it is necessary that Donaghmore Ashbourne GAA have one single management and communications tool which we can rely on. ClubZap meets the club’s growing needs. It is a phone app which will be used going forward for club news, memberships, committee and team management/communications, club website and social media and will replace other existing tools. It will also soon be used for club lotto, juvenile camps and fundraising events.

We are asking that all members download ClubZap to their phones and use it for team and committee management, news, fundraising and other club related communications. Click ClubZap to download.

Membership

If you previously paid online, you will be shortly receiving a renewal email from ClubZap – please ensure to check your Spam/Junk folder. This email contains a link to your personalised membership renewal based on your previous membership. Here you can renew your membership for 2020 or amend your membership package. It is possible to pay your membership through the ClubZap app if you do not receive an email.

Contact reception during opening hours with membership queries. Reception is closed from Friday 20th Dec until Thursday 2nd Jan. In the meantime, you can email donashregistrar@gmail.com or donashadmin@gmail.com

How will I manage my team/committee?

Team mentors and committee chairpersons are asked to download the ClubZap app and follow the below instructions:

- Subscribe to Donaghmore Ashbourne GAA

- Email pro.donaghmoreashbourne.meath@gaa.ie with the team/committee which you mentor/chair

- You will then be set up as an admin with the ability to create a chat group for your team/committee

- Ask committee members, players, other mentors and parents/guardians to download the ClubZap app and subscribe to Donaghmore Ashbourne GAA

- Team mentors are advised to keep the chat group at its default setting ‘Admin Post Only’. This only allows Admins (mentors) send messages – other members in the group can send the Admin a private message if they wish. There can be multiple admins of a chat group.

GDPR compliant and age verification checks

For data protection questions please read the following on the Clubzap website. Members cannot chat on the ClubZap app without completing an age verification check. This allows Juvenile players to have the app and receive messages within a group chat but they cannot send messages or participate in any one-to-one chat.

There will be an initial learning curve with the use of ClubZap for us as a club but after several rounds of testing it, we found it easy to use and we're sure you will too.
