St. Peter's Dunboyne v Donaghmore/Ashbourne in Dunboyne at 8pm

H/T St. Peter's Dunboyne  0-6  Donaghmore/Ashbourne 2-11

F/T  St. Peter's Dunboyne  0-16 Donaghmore/Ashbourne 2-15

Dunboyne opened the scoring within a minute with a point from play but Jamie Browne was in the right place when a dropping ball came in from Dylan Brady and Jamie fisted towards goal but it came back off the post and he didn't miss the target the 2nd time and put it in the back of the net. Darragh O'Sullivan added a point from play a minute later. Dunboyne replied with 2 points on the 3rd and 4th minute 1-1 to 3 pts.  Andy Colgan scored his 1st of 3 points from frees on 6 minutes.  Don/Ash dominated the next few  minutes with some fine scores coming from Leo Reilly, Jamie Browne (2) 1 which was a fine mark and James Crumlish put over on 11 minutes.  1-6 to 3pts.  Dunboyne were guilty of some wayward shots but did score a point from play on 18 minutes.  Leo Reilly replied with another on 19 minutes.  Sean Curran took the ball off the goal line and sent it out to the waiting Byran Menton who drove down the field and scored a great point from play with 22 minutes on the clock.  Dunboyne got another 2 points from frees.  Don/Ash went on a scoring spree with the help of Kevin Cully who was winning great ball around the middle.  Leo Reilly got possession and quickly passed to Dylan Brady who pointed off his left.  Jamie Browne got his 2nd goal with 26 minutes gone after a superb pass in from Darragh O'Sullivan.   Leo Reilly made it 2-10 to 6pts on 27 minutes before Andy Colgan pointed his 2nd free on 29 minutes.   With some trojan work from our backs led by Sean Curran it was difficult for St. Peter's Dunboyne to get their shots away.  Matt Crumlish, Cillian Hegarty, Oisin Daly, Evan Quinn and Aaron McLoughlin worked tirelessly.

Dunboyne opened the scoring in the 2nd half with a point from a free. Darragh O'Sullivan replied with a point free off his left boot. Andrew Tormey was brought on for the injured Kevin Cully (hopefully nothing too serious).  It was Dunboyne's time to have their purple patch and they scored 7 points in the next 13 minutes with 4 from frees and 3 from play to bring it back to a 4point game. Michael Deegan came on for James Crumlish.  Bryan Menton got Don/Ash back and scored a fine point from play with 9 minutes left.  Leo Reilly added his 4th point on the night with a good pass from Tormey. Josh Lancaster was introduced for Cillian Hegarty.  Andy Colgan pointed from another free to finish the scoring on the night to make it a tally of 2-15. Dunboyne did tag on another 2 points to finish on 16 points.   It was a fine team performance from Don/Ash and another 2 points to add to their league tally.
