The U8's of Donaghmore Ashbourne decended onto Gormanstown this afternoon with new faces excitedly awaiting their first taste the hurling league.

With the oranges not quite ripe enough the lads decided that their pre match nutrition should come from none other than Daisy the cow.

With a slow start to the first game and no luck going our way . We lost some players to Páirc Tailteann for the second match but we regrouped and after a mini teamtalk and with re-inforced confidence we came roaring out of the blocks against the same team from the first match.

After each and every player giving everything and leaving nothing behind the result was 3 proud happy mentors.

A brief chat back in the dressing room after the games and after we spoke the lads started telling us where they are going to improve and work harder next week . Watch out Liam these guys will have their hands on you sooner than you think .

Next week is the final set of games and we hope that all have enjoyed it thus far.
