Our closest Dublin hurling neighbours invited us across County boundaries for our first midweek match and 19 players answered the call to play in Oldtown against the Wild Geese.
It wasn't just Meath v Dublin at stake.

From the first whistle for ground Hurling to the full rules in the second half of each match, up stepped the U8 boys of Donaghmore Ashbourne and wow did they put on a show. Skills and solo efforts only go so far and this bunch of players are devoping into a serious unit of a team. Players working together and the ethos of teamwork is the backbone of their success last night.
Fantastic support from the boisterous sidelines really spurred the players on right up to the final whistle.
Thank you to our hosts and plans are in place already to have the return fixture.
